Pricing & Departure Notes

  • As a 3rd person in a triple room, most hotels use rollaway beds and room size may be the same as the double bed. There will be no reduction for triple sharing.
  • Single Room Supplement charges will be applicable in case two different people are sharing a room and one of them cancels the tour.
  • There could be possibility of flight departure on the previous evening.
  • On certain departure dates the itinerary may be operated in reverse order. However, all services and inclusions will remain the same.

Day-wise Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive at Taipei City - Taiwan!!

Arrive at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport. After clearing immigration and customs, your Tour Manager will receive you outside the arrival area. Later, proceed to your hotel & check- in. (Standard check-in time is 1500 hrs.)

Day 02: Taipei City Guided Tour

After buffet breakfast, proceed on a guided tour of Taipei City. Visit the renowned National Palace Museum, housing the largest collection of ancient Chinese artifacts in the world. Then, visit Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, a prominent monument that symbolizing a significant period of Taiwan’s history, and 228 Peace Park, an urban park that combines historical commemoration with recreational functions. Enjoy a local lunch. Later, visit Ximending, Taipei City’s first landmark pedestrian zone which serves as a major entertainment hub. Then visit the landmark Taipei 101 skyscraper; at 508 metres, the tallest building in Taiwan. From the Observatory take in the views of Taipei City.

Day 03: Taipei City - Yangmingshan National Park - Jiufen Village

After buffet breakfast, proceed to Yangmingshan National Park for a guided Cherry Blossom tour featuring key viewing spots such as the Flower Clock. Afterwards, enjoy a local lunch. Later, proceed to Jiufen, a charming hillside village in northeastern Taiwan. During your visit to Jiufen, you’ll get to explore nearby must-see attractions, including the ShueiNanDong Golden Waterfall, celebrated as one of Taiwan’s most photogenic waterfalls; the Gold Museum, where you can delve into Taiwan’s gold mining history through its well-preserved artifacts, and the Baoshishan Lookout, offering a stunning views of the Bay of Two Colors. Continue the tour of Jiufen with a visit to the illuminated Remains of the 13 Levels. Return to Taipei City.

Day 04: Taipei City - Sun Moon Lake

After buffet breakfast, check out and proceed to the heart of the island, Sun Moon Lake National Scenic Area. Sun Moon Lake, the largest freshwater lake on the island, is divided by Lalu Island. The eastern side of the lake resembles the sun, while the western side resembles the crescent moon, giving the lake its unique name. This picturesque area is also the ancestral home of the Thao people, one of Taiwan’s indigenous groups. After a local lunch, explore the most renowned attractions in this area. Begin with a visit to Ita Thao, an indigenous village that offers insights into the culture and lifestyle of the Thao people. Then, visit the Ci’en Pagoda, a landmark monument constructed by the late President Chiang Kai-shek in memory of his mother. Your exploration of Sun Moon Lake continues with visits to two significant temples. First, Xuanzang Temple, a serene Buddhist sanctuary dedicated to the esteemed monk Xuanzang. Then, visit Wenwu Temple, an imposing Taoist temple devoted to the God of Literature and the Martial God.

Day 05: Sun Moon Lake - Tainan – Kaohsiung

After buffet breakfast, check out and transfer to Tainan, the oldest city in Taiwan, celebrated for its abundance of historic buildings and grand heritage. Visit Fort Zeelandia (Fort Anping), constructed by the Dutch East India Company during their 38-year administration of Western Taiwan. After exploring Fort Zeelandia, take a leisurely walk along Anping Old Street. After a local lunch, your next destination is the harbour city of Kaohsiung, the most populous city in Southern Taiwan. Upon arriving in Kaohsiung, your first stop is the renowned Fo Guang Shan Monastery, a Buddhist monastery founded by the Venerable Master Hsing Yun in 1967, featuring a majestic 36-meter-tall golden statue of Buddha Amitabha, considered the tallest standing Buddha in Southeast Asia.

Day 06: Kaohsiung – Kenting -- Taitung

After buffet breakfast, check out and transfer to Taiwan’s first national park. Kenting National Park is celebrated for its coastal geological formations, scenic landscapes, and rich marine biodiversity. You will make stops at Maopitou (a cat’s nose), as it resembles a crouching cat when viewed from afar, and Chuanfan Rock, (open sail), another natural formation that resembles the sail of a ship. Enjoy a local lunch. Thereafter, visit Eluanbi Lighthouse, a Qing Dynasty-era construction, recognized as one of the Eight Views of Taiwan during the Japanese colonial period; and Longpan Park, a coral limestone plateau overlooking the Pacific Ocean, sculpted over centuries by rainfall erosion. Later, proceed to Taitung via the scenic South Link Highway, as you admire the continually shifting landscapes. Visit the serene hot spring resort town of Zhiben in Taitung County, renowned for its carbonate hot springs - the perfect place to rejuvenate yourself after a day of exploration. Enjoy a natural hot spring experience

Day 07: Taitung – Hualien – Yilan

After buffet breakfast, check out, and drive to Hualien, considered the last tranquil retreat on the island. You’ll visit Xiaoyeliu, Sanxiantai, Shitiping, and Fanshuliao, each boasting its own distinctive geological features. The first stop is Xiaoyeliu officially ‘Fugang Geopark’, known for its natural rock formations. Your adventure continues with a visit to Sanxiantai (Terrace of the Three Immortals); Shitiping (Stone Steps) and Fanshuliao (dramatic gorge). Hualien is considered an outdoor geology classroom. From Hualien experience a train ride to Yilan. Upon arrival, check-in to the hotel.

Day 08: Yilan – Taipei City

After buffet breakfast, check out and visit Kavalan Whisky Distillery, known worldwide for its exquisite flavors brewed from the clear spring water from the Central Mountain Range and the Xueshan Mountain Range. Immerse yourself in the rich aroma and unique flavors matured in oak barrels. Enjoy a local lunch. Continue to the National Center for Traditional Arts, a vast park featuring various exquisite traditional Taiwanese monuments. Thereafter, drive to Taipei City and check-in.

Day 09: Taipei City - Tamsui Tian Yuan Temple - Danjiang Bridge

After buffet breakfast, visit Tamsui Tian Yuan Temple, a prime destination for cherry blossom viewing in New Taipei City. Countless cherry blossom trees grace the temple area, providing a picturesque location that draws people from all over the island. Enjoy a local lunch. Then visit Danjiang Bridge, celebrated for its scenic and captivating sunset vistas. In the evening visit Shilin Market.

Day 10: Farewell!

  • Cost of international air tickets.
  • Cost of deviation: In case clients wish to deviate from the group departure dates mentioned in the brochure — i.e. either travel before the departure date of your tour, or return on a later date after the tour ends — an additional charge will be applicable, which will be advised to you by our sales team. The same is subject to availability of accommodation and entrances for the revised dates. Kindly also note, the deviation request should be made at the time of booking the tour.
  • Cost of transfer: In case clients are arriving or departing at a time that is different from the group arrival / departure time, which will be conveyed to all tour group members while booking the tour, there will be an additional cost of transfer. The group arrival and departure timings will vary from tour to tour.
  • Medical / travel insurance.
  • Any expenses of personal nature such as laundry, mineral water, alcoholic beverages, food and beverages that are not part of the regular menu provided by us, mini bar, telephone calls, pay channels, cruise to shore excursions and any type of beverages during the cruise etc.
  • Anything not specified under ‘What Your Tour Price Includes’.
  • Meals other than those mentioned in your itinerary.
  • Cost of excursions, city sightseeing, entrance fees and local guides availed of by the passengers, other than those mentioned under ‘What Your Tour Price Includes’.

Overseas Travel Insurance

It is very important to find out before you leave whether or not your medical insurance will cover you overseas. Your regular U.S. health insurance may not cover doctors’ and hospital visits in other countries. We recommend clients take overseas travel insurance to cover any eventuality while on tour.

Important Notes

Booking & Cancellation

  • Due to very high and constant demand, as a Tour Operator, we are required to pay non-refundable deposits to secure and block accommodation, entrances to prominent landmarks, train tickets, cruise tickets, internal flight tickets amongst other services to cover all services indicated in the itinerary. For this very reason we are required to take a non-refundable deposit from you for booking the tour.<br />
  • In view of the above, unfortunately, this deposit cannot be refunded, even in case of any emergency due to which you have to cancel the tour.
  • We humbly advise you to take necessary insurance to cover the tour cost, in case of any eventuality.

Notes

  • All tours will be operated subject to a minimum of 25 full paying passengers traveling together. In case there are less than 25 full paying passengers the clients will be given an option of travelling on another departure date.
  • Standard check-in at hotels is 1400-1500 hours and check-out is 1100-1200 hours.
  • The Tour Cost is a combination of various arrangements and multiple services, and hence cannot be calculated on an individual service basis. The tour cost is one single component and not calculated individually.
  • Single Room Supplement charges will be applicable in case two people are sharing a room and one of them cancels the tour.
  • Clients taking early morning flights will be provided with boxed/packed breakfast.
  • Keeping in view the luggage compartments of coaches, trains & internal flight regulations, we strongly recommend you to carry only medium size luggage and 1 carry-on/cabin bag per person.
  • The granting of Visas is at the sole discretion of the Embassy or Consulate. Unique World Holidays is not responsible for granting of visas and are only a facilitator in the visa application process. Any inconvenience or situation arising out of delay in granting of visas by the authorities or visa application being rejected has to be resolved by the clients.
  • In case you are not able to continue the tour due to loss of passport, medical emergency, any illness, or any other life-event beyond our control, Unique World Holidays is not liable to give any refund for any unutilized services.
  • Please note that in case any client loses their passport, the cost of getting a new passport and necessary charges to revise the arrangement to return home will be borne by client, and there will be no refund for any unutilized services.
  • Unique World Holidays shall not accept any liability or responsibility for any delay in flights or change in flight schedule by the airline and any situations arising out of the same. Any damages caused to the hotel rooms/coach during your stay, shall be payable by the clients. Unique World Holidays will not be liable for the same.
  • Unique World Holidays shall not accept any liability or responsibility for any damages, loss, injury, accident, death, delay, breakdown or irregularity which may occur in carrying out of the tour arrangement.
  • Unique World Holidays will not be liable in any loss of baggage by your airline. However, we will provide assistance in tracing any lost baggage.
  • Unique World Holidays reserves the right to charge additional expenses due to delay or changes in train, plane, bus, ship or other services, weather conditions, strikes, war, quarantine and any other cause whatsoever and all such losses or expenses must be borne by the passengers.
  • Unique World Holidays reserves the right to amend, alter, vary or withdraw any particular departure/excursion advertised or substitute a hotel of similar class if deemed advisable or necessary.
  • Please ensure to take the necessary vaccinations and shots depending on the destination you are travelling to.
  • There will be no refund on unutilized services or partly utilized services under any circumstances.
  • For the convenience of our passengers, Unique World Holidays will sometimes amend the itinerary; however all the other services will remain the same.
  • If clients prefer to have meals on their own while on tour there will be no refund during such instances
  • All hotels may not have Tea and Coffee machines, kettles or hairdryers in the room. These can be requested at the front desk.
  • It is strictly not allowed to eat, drink or smoke inside the Coach.
  • Coaches may not have Wi-Fi facilities or USB phone charging options on board.
  • Updating of mileage is subject to airlines terms & conditions for group fares.
  • We request the airlines for your preferred seats, however seats are allotted at their discretion.
  • Please refer to the Booking Form for detailed Cancellation Policy and ‘Terms and Conditions’.
  • The company reserves the right to cancel any tour prior to the departure, without assigning any reason.
  • All monies paid by you will be fully refunded in USD only, and no compensation will be payable in any other currency.
  • In case of cruises, internal flights, train tickets and visas 100% of the cost paid will be forfeited, in case of any cancellations irrespective of time of cancellation.
  • Unique World Holidays LLC does not assume responsibility for any fees relating to the issuance and/or cancellation of air tickets or other arrangements not done by us.
